DNA+ will discourage thieves from stealing your bike and will help law enforcement recover it should it be stolen. Each bottle of DNA+ contains a unique solution with coded microdots registered exclusively to you.

The liquid is harmless, easy to apply and virtually impossible to remove. It dries clear but shows up under UV lights. If your bike is stolen, law enforcement can quickly find your unique DNA+ identity on an international database.

Each DNA+ Forensic Coding System also includes special decals that warn potential thieves your bike is protected by DNA+.

How it works

DNA+ works as a powerful deterrent to theft and increases the chance a stolen motorcycle will be recovered.

The DNA+ solution is unique to you and is already registered in your name. All you need to do is to apply it and display the enclosed warning labels on your motorcycle. No two dispensers are the same.

Applying DNA+ is quick and simple. It should take less than thirty minutes to protect your motorcycle. Please take a minute to read all the information in this guide.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please keep DNA+ out of reach of children and animals. DNA+ particles are suspended in a water based forensic adhesive and although not toxic, you should not drink it or allow it to enter the eyes. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. In the event of contact with eyes, flush them clean with water. Some sensitive skin types may be irritated by contact with the adhesive. In the event of contact, wash with soap and water.

Liability for damage to property will not be accepted if these application guidelines are not followed correctly.

Application Guidelines

1. Apply warning labels first

  • If you do not have time to apply DNA+ at this moment, apply the warning labels immediately to deter thieves.

2. Where should I apply DNA+?

  • Apply DNA+ to as many concealed locations on your motorcycle as possible (see bike diagram).
  • DNA+ is white when wet but dries clear. Your uniquely coded particles will appear as black specks. If you have concerns, test on an inconspicuous area or another similar surface beforehand.

3. How should I apply DNA+?

  • First remove the bike seat and any easily detachable fairings. Make sure the surface to be coded is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or grease.
  • Shake the bottle thoroughly before starting and occasionally during use.
  • Allow the brush to pick up a few particles in the DNA+ solution.
  • Apply a thin dab of the solution to the surface with a twisting action.
  • When finished, clean the top of the bottle and replace the cap securely.
  • Affix barcode label under seat, or location NOT EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS

Take care to avoid:

  • Diluting the solution.
  • Applying to moving parts, e.g. nuts and bolts, and switches.
  • Storing or using in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
  • Applying to highly visible surfaces. If this happens, wipe immediately with a damp cloth.

DETERS

  • The greatest worry for any thief is being caught by law enforcement.
  • When thieves see that your motorcycle is forensically protected, they are more likely to pick an easier target that reduces the risk of them being caught.

DETECTS

  • DNA+ is easy for law enforcement to detect – and they actively look for any sign of forensic coding. This means lost or stolen items are more likely to be returned.
  • Any item forensically coded with DNA+ is connected to its owner. DNA+ evidence makes it easier for law enforcement to secure convictions, which is why they like it and use it.
